BASEBALL EMPHASIS
I’m excited about our Kids/ Family Athletic Development Baseball Camp. This unique event is for boys in 1st - 5th grade and takes place in the beautiful mountains of Santa Barbara, CA. on my good friends 500 acre animal / baseball / family ranch. This 3 day 2 night adventure brings families together to teach parents how to develop the raw athleticism of their kids, during one of the most instrumental stages of life. Camp is designed for Fathers and sons but moms and other family members are welcome to attend for an amazing 3 days of bonding and development. To attend, each child must be accompanied by one parent. This is a small group camp with only 10 families admitted.
I’m passionate about player development and I’m excited to share with parents and players my 30+ years of experience in developmenting athletes of all ages (little leagues to the big leagues).
I currently have a 6 year old son (Lyam), who I spend hours with daily developing both his mental and physical skills. I will share with campers the many drills and activities we do to develop his athleticism and mental makeup. Lyam is above his years because we’re intentional about getting better everyday, emphasizing the 5 physical tools of development. Our time together focuses on bonding, eating, smiling, cross training, multiple sports, and getting stronger. At camp, parents and players will learn my creative and fun teachings and techniques on how to unlock your child’s potential.
Camp is made up of bonding, drills, fun activities, and athletic development (with an emphasis on baseball development) in a beautiful ranch environment surrounded by mountains, creeks and pound’s. Parents and players will participate in a variety of exercises that develop the athleticism and hand eye coordination required to be successful in baseball.
PLAYER EVALUATIONS: By the completion of camp, each player will receive a personal written evaluation by coach Trosky assessing both the strengths, weaknesses and projection of each player.

TROSKY BASEBALL INFIELD CAMPS
Everything you need to know before stepping on the field. From age requirements and skill levels to what to expect during camp, our Trosky Baseball Infield Camps FAQ covers it all—so you can show up confident and ready to compete.
MY PLAYER IS YOUNGER THAN THE POSTED AGE/GRADE. CAN HE STILL ATTEND?
For camps listed as 6th grade and up or ages 11–18, we welcome motivated and physically advanced players as young as 5th grade (around ages 9–10).
Unfortunately, players younger than this age range may find the camp too challenging. We encourage you to explore our youth camp options or online academy to help prepare for future in-person camps.
MY PLAYER IS A LEFTY. IS THIS CAMP GOOD FOR HIM?
YES! We have 1,000’s of players attend camps every year and many of them are lefties. The skills they will learn apply no matter what.
MY PLAYER IS NOT AN INFIELDER. WILL THIS CAMP STILL BE GOOD FOR HIM?
YES! Coach Trosky’s philosophy is “No matter your position, you should train like a short-stop”. The arm actions, flexibility, movements, baseball IQ, etc. that make elite short-stops apply to all positions on the field. Your player will take the physical tools and the mental game training back to their position and every aspect of their life.
MY PLAYER CANNOT ATTEND BOTH DAYS. CAN HE ATTEND ONE DAY ONLY?
If YES! Players are welcome to attend one day only. There are still tremendous benefits and knowledge gained by attending one day rather than no days. Also, there is a reduced rate for attending one day.
Email us at contact@troskybaseball.com to get the appropriate discount code to register for 1-day only.
MY PLAYER NEEDS TO ARRIVE LATE/LEAVE EARLY. IS THAT OK?
YES! Players are free to arrive late or leave early as needed. There is so much information and training to be had at camp, even if you have to miss part of it, parents and players say it is still worth coming for any of it they can.
When you arrive, simply put down your gear and join the group. If you need to leave early, excuse yourself from the group and leave. It is appreciated if you can notify us of your plans ahead of time at contact@troskybaseball.com.
NOTE: If leaving camp early players/parents are responsible to watch the time and depart as needed. Trosky Staff will not remind players when it is time to leave.
MY PLAYER IS INJURED. CAN HE STILL ATTEND? WHAT SHOULD I DO?
YES! We often have players attend with a range of injuries from sore arms to broken bones. Players and parents say that even with limited participation, the experience is well worth attending. Please inform Trosky Staff upon arrival of any injuries or limitations a player has.
NOTE: It is the responsibility of the player/parent and their doctor to determine the safe level of activity/participation in camp. It is the responsibility of the player to refrain from drills/movements as appropriate.
NOTE: If leaving camp early players/parents are responsible to watch the time and depart as needed. Trosky Staff will not remind players when it is time to leave.
DO PLAYERS GET A LUNCH BREAK?
YES! Camps longer than 4 hours will have a 30-60 minute lunch break. Camps less than 4 hours typically do not include a lunch break although there will be snack/water breaks. Players are responsible for their own meals. Parents are welcome to bring lunch to their players. While players are allowed to leave the field during lunch, there are often talks that happen during the lunch break that many players will not want to miss.
WHAT TIME IS LUNCH?
Camps that do include a lunch break do not have a set lunch window. It often is determined by the natural flow of the instruction that day. Lunch typically will start between 11:30am-12:30pm most days.
IS FOOD AVAILABLE AT THE FIELD?
NO! Most venues do not have food available for purchase during camp. If there are concessions available, it will be noted in pre-camp details. Players should plan on bringing a lunch or having someone bring lunch to them.
CAN PLAYERS LEAVE DURING LUNCH TIME?
YES! Players are allowed to leave the field during lunch time, however, there are often talks that happen during the lunch break for players to listen to while eating. It is recommended that players bring their lunch or have someone bring lunch to them.
CAN PARENTS STAY/WATCH CAMP?
YES! Parents are always welcome and encouraged to watch camp. There are many talks (especially mental game) that parents consistently say are helpful for many areas of life, not just on the field. Parents are welcome to come and go as they like.
CAN SOFTBALL PLAYERS ATTEND?
YES! Softball players regularly attend. We always recommend inviting a friend so that you can use softballs during the drills and have someone to reinforce the news skills when you get home.
WILL COACH TROSKY BE AT CAMP?
YES! All Trosky Select, Trosky Adventures, and Complete Player Development Boot Camps are run by Coach Nate Trosky. Trosky Trained events are run by Trosky certified instructors.
I AM AN ONLINE ACADEMY MEMBER. CAN I HAVE A DISCOUNT?
YES! All online academy members receive a 10% discount on any Trosky camp. Email us at contact@troskybaseball.com for your discount code.
I HAVE MULTIPLE SIBLINGS THAT WANT TO ATTEND CAMP. CAN I HAVE A DISCOUNT?

TROSKY BASEBALL INFIELD ACADEMY
Ready to commit to the Academy but have questions first? Our Trosky Baseball Infield Academy FAQ breaks down the details—what to expect, how it works, and how it helps you become a more complete infielder.
WHAT MAKES TROSKY BASEBALL INFIELD ACADEMY SO UNIQUE?
Nate Trosky has created a curriculum that has been in the making for over 30 years. Many MLB, collegiate and youth players have put their faith in Coach Trosky to get them to the heights of their potential. Nate is a master teacher that has the ability to bring the best out of his pupils allowing them to dance with the baseball, to play SUAVE (Light, Loose, Free and Easy). Nate has spent 1000’s of hours putting this together and HE IS JUST GETTING STARTED!
WHAT IS COACH TROSKY’S APPROACH?
BECOME THE CEO OF THE CEO, the 1% of the 1%. Coach Trosky has created, studied, and developed this collection of drills because he knows first-hand through experience and study what the great separators are. The drills are innovative, intuitive and proven. Coach Trosky goes in-depth on the philosophy and goals of each drill allowing each player or coach to apply this to their training and routines. This is the exact program that he teaches his MLB clients, but the drills are explained so they make sense to every player or coach. Nate teaches these elite body movements and when an athlete repeats these movements, they are learning all the things necessary to become an elite mover with repeatable actions.
WILL THIS PROGRAM WORK FOR BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL?
Coach Trosky works with many of the top softball and baseball programs in the country. Playing short stop in softball is identical to playing short stop in baseball. Footwork, throwing motion, communication and the mental game are consistent and identical in both games. Coach Trosky believes that elite infield play is elite infield play no matter what sport. Nate Trosky gives equal time to both baseball and softball players.
